The Frozen Prairie
Sunset on Lake Winnipeg, in conditions that can only be described as harsh. Evidence and artifacts of trade in this meeting place date back 6,000 years, which is pretty fucking dope if you ask me. I would have traded my soul for some thicker socks.
It’s my third time on the prairie in six months, but the first in winter. Lake Winnipeg is 258 miles long at one point, and here I am standing on it under the waxing moon. The winds brought it to -22F, and I walked a bit too far from the fire for this photo; I couldn’t feel any part of my body within a few minutes.
