the body holds the story

Yoga for Writers is a practice that uses the fueling movement of the body to get creative energy flowing. Based on a workshop I led in 2020, it has grown to a community of people around the globe. On the first Sunday of each month (or Monday, if you’re in Australia : ) we gather for a simple series of yoga poses, reflection prompts, and (optional) sharing. Throughout the month we support each other through inspiration, reading recommendations, writing practices, and more in a private group hosted through Mighty Networks. All are welcome — you do not need to be a “writer” or a “yogi” to benefit from this introspective and nourishing practice.

The gatherings come with a suggested donation of $20. The inclusion into the private group is automatic, no matter how many gatherings you attend or if you donate. Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

What others say

Caroline's authentic way of teaching and leading really connected me to my mind and body. I really felt my writing during her workshops had a very distinct voice that was cognizant of my body speaking to me in a very open and free way. Very powerful. —Jennifer

I love this combination of yoga exercises (suitable for beginners) and writing — when the body and the mind come together as one, magic happens to the writing process. Thank you, Caroline, for the great prompts, and for providing this welcoming space! —Diana

I've attended several Yoga for Writers workshops with Caroline and each one of them has been absolutely amazing. As a writer, I completely took for granted the simple act of moving your body to release flow. In these workshops, I have been able to unlock some of my most favorite writing in this space, which is filled with love, support, and amazing people. —Eunice
